Here’s the deal on the silly, frivolous, but perennial racist self-serving claim that white males are getting the short end of the stick in America.
Countless surveys have shown that most corporate senior officials and managers are white males. Black managers are grossly underrepresented in top management echelons, and as the parade of lawsuits indicate, are still paid less, and are promoted much more slowly, if at all, than whites.
Countless surveys have shown that white males hold the top administrative positions at major university and colleges.
Countless surveys have shown that white males with a high school diploma, and even with a criminal record are more likely to be hired than Blacks with degrees and a spotless criminal record.
Countless surveys have shown that white males are more likely to get business loans, home loans, and education loans than minorities.
Countless surveys have shown that white males will not be stopped, searched, and arrested in traffic stops routinely, whereas Black and Hispanics males are.
Countess surveys have shown that white males will not be refused taxicab pick-ups or followed by security personnel in retail stores as theft suspects. Blacks and Hispanics are.
Better still, most white males based on surveys taken about whether they feel discriminated against because they are a white male, say no.
I could go on and on about the silliness of Andrea Lucas, the chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), egged on by Trump publicly imploring white males calling on white males to file employment discrimination complaints.
This is just another old replay of the ancient canard that poor supposedly superbly educated, superbly credentialed and superbly qualified white males are losing out on job hiring, promotion, and just about everywhere else to allegedly unqualified, uneducated, uncredentialed Blacks and Hispanics
It’s of course more Trump crock. But here’s a bet. There will be more white males allegedly getting the shaft lunacy coming down the pike. Trump will see to that.
