“We were going from the airport to the hotel, and we drove through what looked like a rougher neighborhood. Trump made a comment to me, saying that only the blacks could live like this.”
These were the choice Trump racial digs at Blacks that Trump’s former attorney, and convicted felon, Michael Cohen, in an interview in 2019 claimed that Trump said to him on various occasions. Cohen hinted that this was just the tip of the Trump racial iceberg; meaning that Cohen heard him make many insulting and offensive racial cracks during his tenure with the Trump organization.
Cohen confirmed what I and many others have long held. President Trump is the most racist president in US history. In my book White Supremacist- In-Chief, I chronicle Trump’s crass manipulation of the birther issue against then President Obama to ram himself into the political limelight. I detail how and why Trump has cunningly stoked racial division for political gain. I review Trump’s long history of using racial slurs for political advancement.
I tell why Trump has attained unimaginable success with his calculated racial assaults. I warn that Trump’s skillful play of the race card to solidify his power and authority as presidential kingmaker assures a damaging racial class and polarization that will terrifyingly mangle American politics long after Trump departs the political scene.
Trump’s birtherism assault on Obama was just the tonic millions welcomed and looked for to publicly let loose their seething racial animus. Trump opened the door wide for that and he intended to swing it open even wider
By the time he resurfaced in the 2024 presidential campaign, he had perfected his racial assault plan to perfection. He’d hammer DEI. He’d send troops into mostly Black-run cities under the guise of a crackdown on crime. He’d racially profile Latinos and send troops to cities with the mandate to sweep the streets of illegals.
He’d pass executive order after executive order banishing any hint of diversity initiatives and programs from schools, corporations, the military, and parks. He’d restore all the traitorous white supremacist confederate military luminaries to military bases. The message is loud and clear. Race baiting is now courtesy of Trump America’s officially sanctioned new norm.
This has amply earned Trump the label white supremacist in chief.
